FAQ

What systems does FlexTPM support?

Any x86-64 Windows system without a functioning TPM 2.0: Boot Camp Macs, custom builds, bare-metal PCs, and virtual machines.

How does it work under the hood?

FlexTPM is a signed native Windows driver. The OS and all applications see a standard TPM 2.0 device, with no emulation or virtualization.

Does it follow the TPM 2.0 spec?

Yes. FlexTPM passes all 9 compliance validation categories with full TPM 2.0 command coverage.

Does BitLocker work with it?

BitLocker TPM protector support is currently in development. Windows Hello, Credential Guard, and all other TPM-dependent features work today.

Do I need FlexTPM if my hardware TPM already works?

No. FlexTPM is designed for systems where the hardware TPM path is unavailable, unsupported, or non-functional.

How does licensing work?

Each license is locked to a hardware ID at activation. Personal covers 1 machine, Pro covers up to 3, and Studio covers up to 5.
